May you enjoy a very Happy Thanksgiving with your family Nancy.

We did, Sam! Six other family members joined us and an adopted “uncle” for a glorious day of playing with the grand-girls amid the aromas of turkey, dressing, and other savory dishes. I trust you also enjoyed a blessed day!
I did Nancy! I think my neighbors adopted me. It is like a second family right next door. Watched slides talked for hours about stories. I miss board games. :-). Thanks for your friendship and blog in 2021.

Happy Thanksgiving to you Nancy. Wonderful quote; thanks!
You’re welcome, JD. I thought the quote was pretty wonderful too!
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁🍂
Thank you, Bridget. I pray you enjoyed a blessed Thanksgiving Day as well!
Very well stated.Wish you a happy Thanksgiving.Take care.💐🌷🥀🎊🎉🎵🎈🌹🙏😊🦃
I agree: William Law states well the value of gratitude in our lives. “A heart ready to praise” is surely a delight to God, and greatly benefits us in the process!
Nancy – One of my favorite quotes comes from a wonderful book by Niki Hardy from which comes this quote:
*If, like I was, you’re struggling to find the blessings in life and you feel anything but thankful right now* (she wrote this during the time she was struggling not only with the loss of her sister to cancer, but the diagnosis of her own serious cancer just six weeks later) *can I invite you to simply start small.*
*What has made you smile, even for just a moment in the last year?* *Name something beautiful you can see.* *Who has noticed you lately?* *What small things do you own you’d be lost without?* *What sounds or music lift your heart?* *What was the silliest thing your child, pet, or husband did recently?*
*Then eventually you may find you’re ready to give thanks for the wreckage of your life as well as the rubies. When our pain screams, our gratitude must shout louder to drown it out with praise. Then and only then can we truly discover that life doesn’t have be pain free to be full.*

Oh, that is SO GOOD!!! The conclusion of this excerpt includes such wisdom: “Life doesn’t have to be pain free to be full.” AMEN–and thank you for taking the time to share it with us, MHKMouse!
Amen!
Happiest-ever Thanksgiving to you and your family and friends, Nancy!
Love,
Laurie

Thank you, Laurie. Our Thanksgiving celebration with family was especially sweet this year since we were able to gather with family (in spite of some Covid risk, I suppose). I trust you too enjoyed family and/or friends yesterday!
A very Blessed Thanksgiving to you, Steve, and your family, Nancy!
Thank you, Cheri! We did enjoy a very blessed Thanksgiving with those family members who could join us and one adoptee. I hope you too were able to gather with your family!
Almost forgot! This week I have learned of a friend here in Mansfield and also one of our Taylor classmates who have both had tests revealing that they are cancer free! Now that is definitely something to be so very grateful to God for!
Hallelujah–that IS good news!!
Nancy,
May that be so. Thankfulness is easy to let slip when we get caught up in life.
Thank you, Gary
Very true, Gary. For me, a gratitude journal (just one short entry each day) has made a big difference. Just deciding what to write is a blessing as I review the good moments of the previous 24 hours!
great quote. HappyThanksgiving, Nancy!
We enjoyed a glorious day, Jean. I hope you enjoyed the same!
Nailed it, William–and thanks, Nancy!
Isn’t that a great quote? Another one for your collection–you’re welcome, Mitch!
